Geographically
Komarna is 5 miles north of Neum, 3km from Klek, in Croatia set into
the coast in the natural bay that is Komarna Bay. It is about a mile
off the Dubrovnik to Split road and approx. half way between the two.
The village is a 35 minute drive to Medjugorje in Bosnia Hertzegovina.
The village is back-dropped by an impressive untamed mountain range
with local vineyards at the foot of the hills. The area is very rich
in culture and a day trip to the old town of Dubovnik and Ston are
highly recommended. The apartment is first floor on the shore and
is just 12 steps from the Adriatic. Opuzen a small town is 15
minutes by car and Metkovic and Ploce about 30 minutes. |
This
apartment has a private balcony with an uninterupted and spectacular
view of Kotor Bay. The air is so fine in this area that historically
it has been associated with care centres for asthma sufferers. The
apartment is on the first floor so access to the sea is simply down
the steps and driveway. There are local shops, bakerys and cafes within
close walking distance on the small local road which skirts around
the bay. It is beautiful for walking or cycling. 8kms away is Kotor
the Unesco world heritage town and with its old narrow streets crammed
with shops, pubs and cafes Kotor is joy to visit |
